Obtaining copyright permission

To use the chosen song for our music video, we had to write a letter explaining to the record label who published the songs permission, the chosen song was Ed Sheeran's "I'm a mess", the artist is well known so obtaining the rights will more difficult than a unknown artist.

Developing skills: filming and final cut ProX

I have used a Panasonic DMC-FZ62 camera, to practice filming on and developing it, this means different shot types, camera angles and camera movement.  Doing these has helped me gain an understanding of what could work for future filming and what wouldn't work. The setting used was AVCHD, this was the recommended setting needed to use on final cut ProX, and turned out really well, I will definitely be using this for my music video. AS has helped me a lot, because it has given me a deep insight into the camera movements and angles that can be used in this practice, I have used what I have learnt and the results were interesting, however more should have been used to make it more defined and professional.
